Heard Museum Bird Walks

2024-2025 Heard Bird Walk Schedule

    • No walks in July/August
  • Leaders: Mike Cameron and Rodney Thomas
  • Where: The Heard Natural Science Museum & Wildlife Sanctuary, McKinney, TX
  • Time: The walk starts at 7:30 am (on the main museum balcony); 8:00 am trail walk starts
  • Cost: Participants sign in at the Heard Museum nature store and pay the normal entry fee (free for Heard Museum members). The fee includes access to the museum and trails after the bird walk.

Organized in 1980, Prairie and Timbers Audubon Society serves Collin County and surrounding counties. We invite you and your family to join us for a wide range of nature-oriented activities. Monthly meetings are scheduled the 4th Tuesday, 6:45 pm, September through November and January through May. They are free and open to the public. Programs are related to wildlife, ecology, conservation and of course, BIRDS!
