Educational Support
Imparting environmental knowledge to students is imperative for the sustainable future of our planet. Supporting them is an investment in society, the economy, and the leaders of tomorrow. PTAS has sponsored student research and field studies at institutions like Austin College, the University of North Texas and Southeastern Oklahoma State University. In addition, PTAS awards a $1,000 scholarship to candidates interested in environmental studies.
Organized in 1980, Prairie and Timbers Audubon Society serves Collin County and surrounding counties. We invite you and your family to join us for a wide range of nature-oriented activities. Monthly meetings are scheduled the 4th Tuesday, 6:45 pm, September through November and January through May. They are free and open to the public. Programs are related to wildlife, ecology, conservation and of course, BIRDS!
