Welcome to the Prairie and Timbers Audubon Society (PTAS)! PTAS is an organization committed to the conservation and appreciation of bird species in North Texas through active monitoring, education initiatives, advocacy efforts and community science. Our activities are primarily focused on bird monitoring, which is conducted through bird identification walks and field trips. We also offer educational programming centered on birds and bird identification classes, promote policies favorable to bird conservation, and support community environmental organizations with a focus on birding.
Join our community of bird enthusiasts and make a difference in protecting our avian friends and their habitats.
